The Way of Self Cultivation to be “Junzi” according to The Four Books

Self-cultivation is the core essence of Confucianism ideology while “Junzi” is a fundamental characteristic to become a complete human. The Four Books, as the fundamental of Confucian classics, have many contents involve to Junzi. This article will discuss on different points, for instance the characteristics of Junzi, steps of self-cultivation to be Junzi, and language strategies used to present and cultivate how to become Junzi. The objective of Confucianism is to instill the Junzi with decent characteristics and qualifications so that they could become government officials. This is because the objective of the Confucianism thought is to establish the moral politics.
