Publication Misconduct
The Journal of Sinology (JSINO) maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward unethical practices. Grounds for rejection, retraction, or correction include:
Plagiarism – All submissions are checked with plagiarism detection software. A similarity index exceeding 30% (excluding quotations and references) may result in rejection.
Fabrication and Falsification – Data or results must not be manipulated or misrepresented.
Multiple Submissions – Manuscripts must not be submitted simultaneously to other journals or conferences.
Authorship Disputes – Authorship must reflect actual contributions; disputes must be resolved prior to submission.
Peer Review Manipulation – Any attempt to interfere with or exploit the review process will lead to rejection.
