Investigation of Allegations

When misconduct is suspected, the journal undertakes a transparent process that may include:

  1. Appointment of an independent committee free from conflicts of interest.
  2. Review of evidence using plagiarism detection tools and other assessments.
  3. Opportunity for the author(s) to respond to allegations.
  4. Maintenance of strict confidentiality and fairness throughout the investigation.
  5. Final decisions are guided by the editorial board, which may include rejection, retraction, correction, notification of institutions or funders, and/or suspension of future submissions.
