Investigation of Allegations
When misconduct is suspected, the journal undertakes a transparent process that may include:
- Appointment of an independent committee free from conflicts of interest.
- Review of evidence using plagiarism detection tools and other assessments.
- Opportunity for the author(s) to respond to allegations.
- Maintenance of strict confidentiality and fairness throughout the investigation.
- Final decisions are guided by the editorial board, which may include rejection, retraction, correction, notification of institutions or funders, and/or suspension of future submissions.
