Parent’s Decision Making to Apply Children with Special Needs in Nongbualamphu Special Education Center

Abstract

The objectives of this research were (1) to study parents' decisions in sending their children with special needs to receive services in the Nong Bua Lamphu Provincial Special Education Center and (2) to compare parents' decisions in Sending children with special needs Receive services in the Special Education Center of Nong Bua Lamphu Province. Classified by education level, occupation, average monthly income. The sample consisted of 168 parents of children with special needs. The sample size was determined using stratified sampling. The tool used for this collection is a questionnaire with 5 levels of estimation scale. The results of finding IOC values are 0.67- 1.00 from 3 experts and the confidence value is 0.952. Statistics used in data analysis include percentage, mean, standard deviation, independent t-test, and One way ANOVA F-test. The research results found that Parents' decision to place their child with special needs Received services in the Special Education Center of Nong Bua Lamphu Province. It was found that the overall average and each aspect were at the highest level in 5 areas and the highest in 1 area. Comparative results of parents' decision to send their children with special needs to receive services in the special education center. Nong Bua Lamphu Province Categorized by educational level, occupation, and average monthly income, it was found that overall and each aspect were not different.
