Social Support Factors Affecting the Quality of Life for Elderly in The Area of Krainai Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Kongkrailat District, Sukhothai Province

Abstract

This research aimed to study (1) the level of social support factors of the elderly in Krainai Subdistrict Administrative Organization, (2) the level of quality of life of the elderly in Krainai Subdistrict Administrative Organization, and (3) the influence of social support factors on the quality of life of the elderly in Krainai Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Kongkrailat District, Sukhothai Province. This study was survey research. The research instrument is questionnaire, the population used in study elderly people aged 60 years and over in the area of Krainai Subdistrict Administrative Organization, using a simple random sampling method, totaling 320 people, the statistics used for data analysis with descriptive statistics, correlation coefficient analysis, multiple regression analysis and hypothesis testing, the research results found that 1) level of social support factors of the elderly aged 60 years and over in the area of Krainai Subdistrict Administrative Organization is at a high level overall; 2) The level of quality of life of the elderly in the area of Krainai Subdistrict Administrative Organization is at a high level overall. 3) The influence of social support factors on the quality of life of the elderly in the Krainai Subdistrict Administrative Organization found that overall, the influence was at a very high level (r_xy=.941). The results of the multiple regression analysis of the quality of life of the elderly in the Krai Nai Subdistrict Administrative Organization area have a predictive power of 88.50 percent and the results of the hypothesis testing of the social support factor found that it has an influence on the quality of life of the elderly in the Krainai Subdistrict Administrative Organization area with Statistically significant.
