Abstract
This article aimed to study (1) success factors for health care and development of the quality of life of the elderly in Phraeksamai Town Municipality, Mueang District, Samut Prakan Province, (2) Relationship between success factors for health care and development of the quality of life of the elderly in Phraeksamai Town Municipality Mueang District, Samut Prakan Province. This study is quantitative research. The tools used to collect data include questionnaires, statistics used in data analysis include mean, standard deviation, analysis of the relationship between variables using the correlation coefficient and testing research hypotheses. The results of the research found that factors for success in health care for the elderly in Phraeksamai Town Municipality, Mueang District, Samut Prakan Province were found to is high for all aspects, including physical, mental and social relationships and environmental. Quality of life development of the elderly in Phraeksamai Town Municipality, Mueang District, Samut Prakan Province found to is high for all aspects, including healthcare, group membership in terms of receiving information and participation in community activities. Relationship between health care success factors and the development of the quality of life of the elderly in Phraeksamai Town Municipality, Mueang District, Samut Prakan Province was found to be at a moderate level (rxy=.491) with statistical significance and the results of the test of the hypothesis that health care success factors affect the development of the quality of life of the elderly were found to be consistent at moderate level, statistically significant.
