About the Journal

The Journal of Life Studies is established with the objective of serving as an academic platform for the promotion, support, and advancement of education, research, and knowledge creation in the field of Life Studies. Life Studies is an integrative and interdisciplinary field that seeks to understand human life in its multifaceted dimensions, including individual, social, cultural, psychological, and structural aspects. The journal aims to facilitate scholarly exchange and dissemination of academic works among faculty members, researchers, scholars, undergraduate and graduate students, as well as the general public, at both national and international levels.

The journal welcomes original manuscripts of high academic quality that have not been previously published elsewhere. Submitted articles must be consistent with the objectives and scope of the journal and should contribute to the advancement of knowledge, understanding, and innovative perspectives related to the study of human life and society within changing social contexts. The journal encourages submissions that employ theoretical, empirical, applied, and interdisciplinary approaches in order to reflect the diversity and richness of scholarly inquiry in the field of Life Studies.

The scope of the journal encompasses the following academic fields:

1) Arts and Humanities

This category includes scholarly works in general arts and humanities, philosophy, religious studies, language and linguistics, history, and archaeology. Emphasis is placed on the exploration of meanings, values, beliefs, systems of thought, and human experiences, as well as the study of cultural and civilizational developments that have shaped human life and societies across historical periods.

2) Social Sciences

This category covers general social sciences, education, lifelong learning and life-course studies, sociology, anthropology, cultural studies, women’s studies and gender studies, political science, and public administration. The focus is on the analysis of social phenomena, social structures and processes, public policies, governance, and contemporary social issues that influence quality of life, social justice, and sustainable social development.

3) Psychology

This category includes general psychology, applied psychology, developmental and educational psychology, social psychology, experimental and cognitive psychology, and clinical psychology. Scholarly works in this field emphasize the study of human behavior, mental processes, learning, development across the life span, interpersonal relationships, as well as the promotion of psychological well-being and quality of life within diverse social and cultural contexts.

4) Other Related Fields

This category also welcomes contributions from other academic disciplines that are relevant to or integrated with the study of life, society, and human development in various dimensions, whether at theoretical, policy, or practical levels. The journal is open to new perspectives and bodies of knowledge that broaden and deepen understanding of human life and society in a comprehensive and holistic manner.
