A Comparative Study of Chinese Interjections in Chinese Novel She Diao Yingxiong Zhuan and its Thai Translation in Kuaicheng Yot Wiraburut

This research has two main purposes. The first one is the study of Chinese interjections in She Diao Yingxiong Zhuan. The second one is the comparison of Chinese interjections and its Thai translation in Kuaicheng Yot Wiraburut. The result of the study of Chinese interjections in She Diao Yingxiong Zhuan shows that: 1) Some Chinese interjections can be used in several circumstances and can be pronounced in several ways; 2) One emotion can be expressed by many Chinese interjections; 3) Some Chinese interjections can be pronounced in many ways to express different emotions; 4) Some of the interjections can be used in many circumstances with the same pronunciation. The comparison of Chinese interjections and its Thai translation in Kuaicheng Yot Wiraburut shows that there are three translation methods used: literal translation, adjusting the text and omitting the interjections.
