Participation of community leaders in managing drug problems of the Nong Bon Subdistrict community Prakhon Chai District Buriram Province

Abstract

The objectives of this research article are 1) to study the level of participation in drug problem management among community leaders and people in the Nong Bon Subdistrict area Prakhon Chai District Buriram Province 2) To study the factor level Participation of community leaders in managing drug problems in Nong Bon Subdistrict Prakhon Chai District          Buriram Province 3) to study factors affecting community leaders participation in managing drug problems in Nong Bon Subdistrict Prakhon Chai District Buriram Province and 4) to study ways to solve the drug problem by community leaders and people in the Nong Bon Subdistrict area Prakhon Chai District Buriram Province. The sample group used in this research is Community leaders and people living in the Nong Bon Subdistrict area       Prakhon Chai District Buriram Province, 380 people. The tools used in the research are Questionnaires and interviews, questionnaires, and statistics used in data analysis include descriptive statistics, frequencies, percentages, means, and standard deviations. Inferential statistics include the Coefficient of Correlation and Multiple Regression Analysis. Interview data were analyzed using content analysis. The research results found that Level of participation in drug problem management of community leaders and people in the area is at a moderate level Participation in receiving information had the highest mean of ( =3.46) and participation in decision making had the lowest mean of ( =2.58).The overall level of participation factors of community leaders was at a moderate level.The social and economic factors had the highest average ( =3.70), while support from the government and other organizations had the lowest mean of ( =3.17). Factors affecting community leaders' participation in drug problem management are related to the level of participation of community leaders and people in the area. When the participation factor increases Participation levels will also be higher. Factors with high influence in these five areas were able to predict participation levels up to 81.60 percent, with statistical significance at the 0.5 level.
