School Lunch Program Operations according to Evaluation Standards of Schools under Nakhon Si Thammarat Primary Educational Service Area Office 2

Abstract
The objectives of this research were (1) to inrestigate school lunch program operations according to school evaluation standards, (2) to compare the operations based on school size, type, location, budget rate, operational model, administrators' gender and experience, and (3) to examine study problems and recommendations in administrative operations under Nakhon Si Thammarat Primary Educational Service Area Office 2.The population consisted of 188 schools, and the sample comprised 128 schools. The sample size was determined using Krejcie and Morgan’s table. obtained through proportionate stratified random sampling by school size and simple random sampling. The research instrument was a 5-level rating scale questionnaire with an Index of Item-Objective Congruence (IOC) between 0.60-1.00 and a total reliability coefficient of .984. Statistics used for data analysis included mean, standard deviation, t-test independent, One-way ANOVA, LSD post-hoc multiple comparison, and content analysis.
The research findings revealed that: 1) the overall school lunch program operations were at a good level; 2) the comparative results showed that schools with different sizes, budget rates, operational models, and administrators' experience had significantly different operations at the .01, .001, .05, and .01 levels, respectively. However, no significant differences were found regarding school type, location, and administrators' gender; 3) key problems included delays in budget disbursement, incomplete instructional integration across all subject areas, and a shortage of nutrition personnel. Recommendations included expediting budget disbursement for greater flexibility, promoting the full efficiency of the Thai School Lunch program, developing integrated nutrition curricula across all learning areas, and establishing collaborative networks with the community for sustainability.
