Abstract

The purposes of this research were  1) to compare the analytical thinking skills of grade 5 students after after learning through science games with the average score criterion of 75%.2) to compare science learning achievements of grade 5 students on the topic of food chains before and after learning through science games and  3) to study the satisfaction of grade 5 students with the learning model using science games. The sample group consists of grade 5 students from class 5/1 Rajaprajanugroh 8 School, academic year 2024, with a total of 28 students, obtained by purposive sampling method. The research Instruments include a science game (food chain card game), lesson plans for teaching science in Grade 5 on the topic of the food chain, an achievement test on the food chain, an analytical thinking test on the food chain, and student satisfaction questionnaire regarding the learning management approach using the science game. The statistics used for data analysis include the standard deviation and the mean.

The research results were found that:  1) Students’ analytical thinking scores after learning through the science game showed an average score of 84.60%, which is higher than the average score criterion of 75%.  2) Students' science learning achievement of grade 5 students on the topic of the food chain before and after using the science game showed that the average pre-learning score was 3.89 (SD = 1.26), while the average post-learning score increased to 8.36 (SD = 1.25).  3) Students' satisfaction with the learning management approach using the science game revealed that students had the highest level of satisfaction. (equation=4.73, SD=0.45)
