A Study of Land Allocation Law for Agricultural Area Planning in Ladya Subdistrict, Mueang District, Kanchanaburi Province.

Abstract

This article aims to (1) Study the perceptions of agricultural land users in areas designated as Por Bor Tor 5 (PBT5) (2) Examine legal guidelines for land allocation in agricultural areas in Lat Ya Subdistrict, Mueang District, Kanchanaburi Province. The research employs a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative and qualitative methods. In the quantitative research component, Krejcie & Morgan’s sampling method was used to select 165 respondents from a population of 286. Data were collected through questionnaires to assess satisfaction levels regarding variables such as gender, age, occupation, crop type, income, and benefits derived from agricultural activities in the area. Data analysis included percentages, mean scores, and standard deviations. For the qualitative research component, in-depth interviews were conducted with 18 participants, including community leaders, local officials, and general residents. Data were analyzed using content analysis and presented in a descriptive format. This research aims to improve land allocation practices and enhance understanding of public perceptions to facilitate appropriate adjustments to agricultural land policies.
