The Development of an Environmental Skills Training Activity Package for Students in Chaiyaphum Province: A Case Study of Ban Chor Raka School, Mueang District, Chaiyaphum Province

Abstract

This research aimed to: ) Develop environmental skills training activities at Ban Chora Ka School, Mueang District, Chaiyaphum Province. 2) Compare the knowledge, attitudes, and skills in environmental conservation before and after training among secondary school students in Mueang District, Chaiyaphum Province. The sample consisted of 30 students from Ban Chora Ka School, Mueang District, Chaiyaphum Province, selected through purposive sampling. The instruments used for data collection included an environmental conservation knowledge test, an environmental conservation attitude test, and an environmental conservation skills test. The statistical methods used for data analysis were percentage, mean, and standard deviation. The statistical methods used for instrument quality analysis included content validity, difficulty level, discrimination power, reliability, and the paired t-test.

The research results indicated that:

1. The development of environmental skills training activity packages for students in Chaiyaphum Province, using Ban Chora Ka School, Mueang District, Chaiyaphum Province, as a case study, was evaluated for quality. The index of consistency assessed by experts ranged from 0.60 to 1.00, confirming that the quality met the specified criteria.
2. Students who participated in the environmental skills training activities demonstrated significantly higher knowledge and improved attitudes after completing the activities, with statistical significance at the 0.05 level.
