Abstract

This article aims to present the concepts and application of Positive Psychology in an educational context. It begins by comparing general psychology and positive psychology, highlighting a shift from focusing on behavioral problem-solving toward the systematic development of human strengths and potential. The article proposes guidelines for integrating positive psychology into classroom practices through key strategies, including strength development, appropriately challenging activities, and the promotion of interest, self-confidence, value awareness, positive relationships, psychological safety, and hope, in order to enhance learners’ well-being and learning effectiveness. In addition, the article presents an approach to designing activities for developing grit among undergraduate students aged between 18 and 30 years. This approach consists of four main activities: interest exploration, goal setting, deliberate practice, and growth mindset development, based on the framework of Angela Duckworth. The expected outcomes include enhanced learner potential, improved psychological well-being, and the ability to achieve long-term goals sustainably. Finally, the article emphasizes the important role of instructors in facilitating and supporting the learning process, enabling learners to discover and develop their full potential. This approach contributes to holistic human development across cognitive, emotional, and social domains, and prepares learners for effective and sustainable living and working in the future.
