THE DEVELOP READING COMPREHENSION ABILITIES OF MATHAYOMSUKSA 1 STUDENTS BY MANAGING LEARNING WITH THE KWL TECHNIQUE

Abstract

This research article objectives were 1) to develop the reading comprehension ability of Mathayomsuksa 1 students by using the KWL teaching method; 2) to compare the reading comprehension ability of Mathayomsuksa 1 students before and after. Learning management by KWL teaching method. The samples used in this research were 42 students in grade 1/1, semester 1, academic year 2022, Kanlayanawat School, Muang District, Khon Kaen Province. simple random Equipment used in the research are: 1) a learning management plan with steps to develop reading comprehension; 2) a questionnaire on students' opinions towards reading comprehension using the KWL technique. and percentage.

The results showed that

1) the result of the development of reading comprehension ability of Mathayomsuksa 1 KWL students with an average of 80 percent passed the criteria, it was found that there were students who had the ability to read comprehension passing the average percent. 82.75, which is higher than the 80 percent criterion and there are 42 students representing 100 percent who pass the above criteria. Therefore, it can be concluded that the innovation of KWL technique helps develop the student's ability to read the main points through the 80 criterion and 2) the effect of the study of the opinions of Mathayomsuksa 1 students on reading comprehension using the KWL technique was found. that the students viewed that they had done the most In summary, students' opinions on this innovative learning method were at the highest level.
