COMPARISON OF READING COMPEHENSION ADILITIES OF MATHAYOM 1 STUDENTS BY ORGANIZING LEARNING USING THE KWL TECHING METHOD

Abstract

The objectives of this research were 1) to compare the reading comprehension ability of Mathayom 1 students before and after learning with the KWL teaching method 2) to study the satisfaction of Mathayom 1 students. that has an effect on learning management using the KWL teaching method. The sample group used in this research were Mathayom 1/1 students at Kaen Nakhon Wittayalai 2 School, Mueang Khon Kaen District. Khon Kaen Province Secondary Educational Service Area Office 25, which is studying in the first semester of academic year 2023, 1 classroom, totaling 44 students, obtained from simple random sampling (Simple Random Sampling) by means of drawing lots. Using the classroom as the random unit. The research tools included 1. a critical reading learning plan using the KWL teaching method, 2. a critical reading achievement test, and 3. a satisfaction questionnaire with the KWL learning method. KWL teaching method cooperative group. Statistics used in data analysis are mean ( ) and standard deviation (S.D.), independent t-test.

The research results found that

1. The reading comprehension ability of Mathayomsuksa 1 students who were taught using the KWL teaching method after learning was higher than before learning.
2. Satisfaction of Mathayom 1 students with learning management using the KWL teaching method is at a high level.
