AN APPLICATION OF BUDDHIST PRINCIPLES IN MANAGEMENT OF THUNG SONG SUBDISTRICT ADMINISTRATIVE ORGANIZATION, NABON DISTRICT, NAKHON SI THAMMARAT PROVINCE

The objectives of this research were: (1) to examine the level of application of Buddhist principles in the management of the Thung Song Sub-district Administrative Organization, and (2) to identify approaches for enhancing the use of Buddhist principles in organizational management. A mixed-methods design was employed. The quantitative component collected data from 338 eligible voters residing in the Thung Song Sub-district Administrative Organization, Nabon District, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation. The qualitative component involved in-depth structured interviews with five key informants, and the data were analyzed through content analysis.
The findings revealed that the overall application of Buddhist principles in organizational management was rated at a high level. Among the four dimensions, Chanda (love of work) showed the highest mean score, followed by Citta (commitment), Viriya (perseverance), and Vimamsa (critical reflection). In addition, the study proposed an approach for promoting the integration of Buddhist principles into local administrative management through the SCPE Model: (1) Set goals, (2) Participation, (3) Evaluation, and (4) Capacity development.
