Abstract

This research the objectives are as follows: 1. To compare the reading comprehension abilities of Mathayom 3 students before and after learning with the SQ4R teaching method. 2. To compare the reading comprehension abilities of Mathayom 3 students after Organizing learning using the SQ4R teaching method with the criteria of 80 percent and 3. To study the opinions of Mathayom 3 students regarding learning management using the SQ4R teaching method. The sample group used in this research is: Mathayom 3/2 students at Khao Rai Suksa School, Maha Sarakham Province who are studying in the first semester of academic year 2022, 1 room, 42 people, obtained from simple random sampling. The research tools include 1) a learning management plan, 2) a questionnaire on students' opinions on reading comprehension. Importance of SQ4R teaching method. Statistics used in data analysis include mean ( ), standard deviation (S.D), t-test.

        The results of the research found that:  1. The results of developing the ability to read and understand the main points of Mathayom 3 students by organizing learning using the SQ4R teaching method, with an average of 80 percent of ability passing the criteria. 2. Students with the ability to Reading comprehension passed the average criterion of 83.60%, which is higher than the specified criterion. 3. The innovation of the SQ4R teaching method really helps develop the ability of students to read and comprehension and pass the criterion of 80. And the results of the study of the opinions of high school students. 3 towards reading comprehension using the SQ4R teaching method. In conclusion, students' opinions on this innovative learning method were at the highest level.
