Abstract

The objective of this research is to 1) study the issues in Chinese classroom management to improve the management of the learning environment in Chinese language teaching institutions and 2) analyze and propose strategies for effective classroom management suitable for Chinese language teaching in secondary schools in Thailand. The research uses a survey method to collect data through questionnaires from a sample group of 320 teachers and students. The statistical methods used for data analysis include percentage, mean, and standard deviation. The results identified several issues in the teaching environment, including poor class scheduling, inappropriate textbook selection, and inadequate school facilities. Teacher related problems included poor time management, inconsistent rule enforcement, limited student management methods, and insufficient environmental control. Additionally, students showed low motivation and ineffective learning strategies. To address these issues, the study suggests improving class scheduling, textbook selection, and school facilities. For teachers, it recommends better time management, clearer rule enforcement, enhanced communication with students, stronger classroom control, and reduced workloads. For students, suggestions include motivating them properly, improving their attitude toward learning Chinese, optimizing learning strategies, and enhancing their language skills.
