DEVELOPMENT GUIDELINES FOR THE MANAGEMENT OF DAN MAKHAM TIA AGRICULTURAL COOPERATIVE LIMITED, KANCHANABURI PROVINCE

Abstract

This qualitative research aimed to 1) examine the management practices of Dan Makham Tia Agricultural Cooperative Limited, located in Dan Makham Tia District, Kanchanaburi Province, and 2) investigate the challenges faced by the cooperative. The key informants consisted of 15 individuals, including staff, committee members, and cooperative members, selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and analysis of relevant documents. The data were categorized based on the research objectives and presented descriptively.

          The findings revealed that: 1) The cooperative’s management system is well-structured and adheres to the principles of good governance, including planning, supervision, clearly defined roles and responsibilities, and internal evaluation mechanisms. 2) Human resource management focuses on enhancing knowledge and skills, contributing to transparency and building trust among members. 3) The financial management system is well-organized; however, the cooperative still faces issues with overdue debts from some members. 4) There are limitations in the use of technology due to insufficient knowledge and understanding among staff, as well as outdated legal regulations, which hinder operational efficiency.
