GUIDELINES FOR CORRECTING THE BEHAVIOR OF NOT SUBMITTING HOMEWORK OF MATHAYOM 2/2 STUDENTS AT CHAWANG RATCHAPHISEK SCHOOL, 2nd SEMESTER, ACADEMIC YEAR 2024

This research aimed to investigate the behavior of students in Mathayom 2/2 at Chawang Ratchaphisek School who failed to submit homework or assignments during the second semester of the 2024 academic year. The study further sought to identify the underlying causes of this behavior and propose effective solutions to improve instructional practices and enhance students’ academic achievement. This quantitative study employed a survey research design, using a questionnaire as the primary data collection tool. The sample consisted of 45 students selected through purposive sampling. The questionnaire was divided into two parts: general demographic information and students’ opinions on the causes of non-submission behavior, measured using a five-point Likert scale.
The findings revealed that the primary reasons for not submitting homework were: addiction to video games (Mean = 4.71), insufficient time to complete assignments (Mean = 4.67), and lack of interest in the given tasks (Mean = 4.33). Other contributing factors included difficulty of the assignments, unclear instructions, lack of guidance, and boredom. These results led to the formulation of targeted recommendations based on both educational theory and practical classroom application. Solutions include fostering students’ ethical behavior and sense of responsibility, motivating them by clearly communicating the value of homework, and adjusting assignment formats to align with students' interests and abilities. Additionally, the study recommends implementing student-centered learning strategies that promote engagement, time management, and self-directed learning. The study suggests expanding future research to include students from other classes or levels and to conduct subject-specific investigations. Such in-depth exploration would allow for a more nuanced understanding of the problem, enabling educators to design tailored interventions that effectively address homework non-submission behavior in different learning contexts. Ultimately, this study contributes valuable insights into student learning
