PREPARATION OF LEGAL THAI WORKERS FOR OVERSEAS EMPLOYMENT: A CASE STUDY OF THE REPUBLIC OF KOREA

This study is A quantitative research aimed at examining the preparedness of Thai workers before legally traveling to work in the Republic of Korea. It considers personal factors, awareness, and understanding of the procedures involved, as well as compares levels of preparedness based on these personal factors. The sample group consisted of 220 Thai workers who passed the Korean language and skills tests under the Point System and traveled to work abroad in 2025. Data were collected using questionnaires and analyzed using descriptive statistics (frequency, mean, percentage, standard deviation), one-way ANOVA, Scheffè’s post hoc test, and Pearson’s correlation, with a significance level set at .05.
The results revealed that Thai workers had a high level of awareness and understanding regarding the procedures for working in the Republic of Korea, from the application process to departure. Overall, their level of preparedness before going abroad was rated high.
