THE CREATIVE LEADERSHIP OF SCHOOL ADMINISTRATORS UNDER THE PHATTHALUNG PRIMARY EDUCATIONAL SERVICE AREA OFFICE 2

Abstract

This research, conducted with teachers from the schools under the Phatthalung Primary Educational Service Area Office Two, primarily emphasized the importance of creative leadership among school administrators. The research aims were threefold as follows: 1) to examine the creative leadership of school administrators in general; 2) to compare the creative leadership across their educational backgrounds, work experiences, and school size; and 3) to obtain suggestions for strengthening creative leadership within this specific context. The study involved 285 teachers, selected using stratified random sampling based on school size, followed by simple random sampling through the lottery method. The fundamental research instrument employed in this study was a five-point Likert scale questionnaire, which showed a reliability coefficient of 0.91. The statistical techniques, including frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, and one-way analysis of variance, were employed to analyze the data. The key research findings derived from the teachers' perceptions were as follows:

1. The creative leadership demonstrated by school administrators was consistently rated at a high level, both overall and across specific aspects.2. The comparison of overall creative leadership revealed statistically significant differences based on educational backgrounds, work experiences, and school size at the .001 significance level.3. The key recommendations for enhancing school administrators' creative leadership included integrating diverse andappropriate leadership approaches, leveraging organizational strengths through effective processes, and adopting adaptive strategies suited to situational and administrative contexts.
