Competency of School Administrators under Khon Kaen Primary Educational Service Area Office 1

This research article aimed to 1) study the competencies of school administrators under Khon Kaen Primary Educational Service Area Office 1 and 2) compare the competencies of school administrators under Khon Kaen Primary Educational Service Area Office 1, classified by position, work experience, and school size. The research employed a quantitative approach. The sample group consisted of 25 school administrators and 308 teachers, totaling 333 participants. The research instrument was a five-point Likert scale questionnaire. The index of item-objective congruence (IOC) was 1.00. The reliability coefficient of the questionnaire was .921. The statistics used in the analysis included percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, and F-test.
The research results found that 1. The competencies of school administrators were at the highest level overall. When considering each aspect, all 5 aspects were at the highest level. Ranked as follows: 1) Self-development 2) Morality and ethics 3) Achievement-oriented work performance 4) Teamwork 5) Good service, respectively. 2. The comparison of the competency of school administrators classified by position showed that the opinions regarding the competency of school administrators were significantly different at the .05 level. When classified by work experience, the overall opinions regarding the competency of school administrators were significantly different at the .05 statistical level. However, when classified by school size, the opinions regarding the competency of school administrators were not significantly different at the .05 statistical level.
