Abstract

The research on the development of critical reading ability by the SQ3R reading learning management of Mathayomsuksa 2 students at Municipal School 1 Ban Sampran (Nakhon Saraphadungwit) in the second semester of the academic year 2022 had the following objectives: 1. To develop the critical reading ability of Mathayomsuksa 2 students to be effective. The SQ3R method of teaching and learning between preschool and postschool. The samples used in the research were 35 students in Mathayomsuksa 2/1, Municipal School 1, Ban Sampran (Nakhon Saraphadungwit), Nakhon Pathom. All 35 students were selected. Selection method Purposive Sampling The research tools consisted of 1) four SQ3R reading learning management plans; 2) a critical reading ability test. It is a multiple-choice test with 4 options, 30 questions.

The findings were as follows: 1. Learning outcomes using the SQ3R teaching method and in conjunction with critical reading according to the teaching plan during learning of grade 2/1 students were equal to 83.14 and the test results after grade 2/1 were 85.81, indicating that the efficiency E1 / E2 of learning outcomes using the SQ3R method and coupled with teaching critical reading according to the lesson plan was 83.14/85.81. Standard Criteria 80/80 2. Comparison of the achievement in critical reading of Mathayomsuksa 2 students learning by using reading instruction using the SQ3R teaching method during pre-learning and post-learning. after school is higher than before Statistically significant at the .05 level.
