THE ROLE OF MONKS IN MODERN SOCIETY

Abstract

This academic article aims to present the role of monks in modern society by utilizing studies that analyze and synthesize information from relevant textbooks and academic documents. The study findings indicate that in a rapidly changing modern society due to technological advancements and economic growth, the role of monks holds significant importance and should not be disregarded. Monks have the capacity to build and sustain peace within society in a sustainable manner. Moreover, they play a crucial role in teaching and promoting societal values and ethics. As representatives of religions, they possess bravery and profound knowledge, enabling them to educate and guide individuals in recognizing and comprehending essential religious and moral principles. The interaction between virtuous individuals and monks aids society in resisting harmful actions while fostering understanding and love. Acceptance and comprehension of the role of monks are essential for the creation of a peaceful and joyful society that benefits everyone within it.
