GUIDELINES FOR DEVELOPING THE MANAGEMENT OF SCHOOL DIRECTOR ACCORDING TO THE POSITION STANDARDS OF SCHOOL DIRECTOR UNDER LOPBURI PRIMARY EDUCATIONAL SERVICE AREA OFFICE

The purposes of this research were to 1) study the current and desirable conditions of the Management of School Director according to the Position Standards of School Director, 2) to analyze the needs of the Management of School Director according to the Position Standards of School Director and 3) propose guidelines to develop the Management of School Director according to the Position Standards of School Director. The 308 samples of School Directors and Teachers under Lopburi Primary Educational Service Area Office were calculated by using Yamane’s formula and selected by using stratified random sampling method. The proportion of School Directors and Teachers was 40:60. The research instrument consisted of the current and desirable condition questionnaire with a reliability value of 0.859, and Semi-structured interview. The data were analyzed by using Percentage, Average, Standard Deviation, PNI modified and Content analysis together with narrative writing. The results showed that: 1) the current conditions and desirable conditions of the Management of School Director according to the Position Standards of School Director were rated at moderate and high level, respectively; 2) Considering to the needs for developing the Management of School Director according to the Position Standards of School Director, The first is the School administration, The second is t้he Personal and professional development, The third is the Community and network management, The fourth is the Management of Strategic change and Innovation and The fifth is the Academic administration and Academic leadership; and 3) Five guidelines for Developing the Management of School Director according to the Position Standards of School Director had steps and processes that could be applied completely.
