Abstract

The research on developing reading comprehension ability of Mathayomsuksa 4 students by using SQ4R technique was an experimental research. (Experimental Research) as a single group Pre-test and post-test (One Group Pretest-Posttest Design) with objectives 1) to compare reading ability. 2) To compare reading comprehension ability of Mathayomsuksa 4 students after learning management using SQ4R technique based on and 3) to study the opinions of Mathayomsuksa 4 students toward learning management using the SQ4R technique. The sample used in this research were Mathayomsuksa 4/1 students in the first semester. 1st place, academic year 2022, Fang Wittayon School, Ban Fang District, Khon Kaen Province Under the Khon Kaen Educational Service Area Office, there was one classroom with a total of 36 students, which were obtained by simple random sampling. The sample group was Mathayomsuksa 4/2 students of Fang Wittayon School, Ban Fang District, Khon Kaen Province. under the Office of Khon Kaen Educational Service Area, 1 classroom with a total of 36 students, obtained by simple random sampling. The primary variables were learning management using the SQ4R technique.
2) The opinions of Mathayomsuksa 4 students toward learning management using the SQ4R technique. The tools used in the research were 1) a learning management plan with reading comprehension development steps; The students' reading comprehension with the SQ4R technique was used to analyze the data using basic statistics such as mean, standard deviation and percentage.

The results showed that The result of development of reading comprehension ability of Mathayomsuksa 4 students using the SQ4R technique with an average score of 80% passed the criteria. average 83.60 percent, which is higher than the 80 percent criterion, and there are 36 students representing 100 percent who pass the above criteria.
