การศึกษาวิจัยมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาองค์ประกอบของโรงเรียนมาตรฐานสากลที่ได้รับรางวัล OBECQA และศึกษาตัวแปรที่สามารถจำแนกความแตกต่างระหว่างโรงเรียนที่ได้รับรางวัลกับโรงเรียนที่ไม่ได้รับรางวัล กลุ่มตัวอย่างประกอบด้วยโรงเรียนมาตรฐานสากลจำนวน 91 โรงเรียน แบ่งเป็นโรงเรียนที่ได้รับรางวัล 44 โรงเรียน และโรงเรียนที่ไม่ได้รับรางวัล 47 โรงเรียน โดยมีผู้ให้ข้อมูลรวม 237 คน ผลการวิจัยพบว่า โรงเรียนมาตรฐานสากลที่ได้รับรางวัลตามเกณฑ์ OBECQA มีองค์ประกอบสำคัญ 7 ด้าน ได้แก่ 1) การนำองค์กร 2) กลยุทธ์ 3) นักเรียนและผู้มีส่วนได้ส่วนเสีย 4) การวัด การวิเคราะห์ และการจัดการความรู้ 5) บุคลากร 6) การปฏิบัติการ และ 7) ผลลัพธ์ นอกจากนี้ ผลการวิเคราะห์จำแนกกลุ่มยังพบว่ามี 3 ตัวแปรสำคัญที่สามารถจำแนกความแตกต่างระหว่างโรงเรียนที่ได้รับรางวัลและไม่ได้รับรางวัลได้อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ ได้แก่ การนำองค์กร กลยุทธ์ และการปฏิบัติการ โดยสมการจำแนกกลุ่มสามารถทำนายการเป็นสมาชิกของกลุ่มได้ถูกต้องร้อยละ 65.4
