Factors Affecting the Graduation of Graduate Students at Kanchanaburi Rajabhat University

This research aimed to investigate the factors affecting the graduation of graduate students and to compare these factors between students who complete their programs within the prescribed timeframe and those who graduate beyond the expected duration. The study sample consisted of 110 graduate students from Kanchanaburi Rajabhat University who completed their studies during the academic years 2021–2023, selected through stratified random sampling. The research instruments was a five-level scale questionnaire, and data were analyzed using percentage, mean, standard deviation, and t-test.
The findings were as follow: 1) The factors influencing the graduation of graduate students at Kanchanaburi Rajabhat University, overall and in individual aspect, were at a high level. Ranked in descending order, the aspects were: achievement motivation, student characteristics, thesis advisor characteristics, family and friends, and facilities. 2) The comparison of factors influencing on-time graduation versus delayed graduation among graduate students revealed that, overall, there was a statistically significant difference at the 0.01 level. When examined by specific aspects, student characteristics, achievement motivation, and family and friends also showed statistically significant differences at the 0.01 level. These results indicate that graduate students who completed their programs on time demonstrated higher levels compared to those who graduated later than scheduled.
