Implementation of Highland Agricultural Development Station Project Under Her Majesty Queen Sirikit at Baanpakha, Phongnamron Subdistrict, Klonglan District, Kamphaeng Phet Province

Abstract

This study investigates the “Highland Agricultural Development Station Project Under Her Majesty Queen Sirikit  at  Baanpakha, Phongnamron Subdistrict, Klonglan District, Kamphaeng Phet Province.” Objectives included analyzing inter-agency cooperation and farmer participation, exploring factors influencing farmers' adoption of promoted cash crops, and identifying strategies for enhanced collaboration and public awareness. A qualitative approach was employed, involving interviews with the station director and nine agencies, and focus groups with 15 community members. Findings indicate a two-tiered inter-agency collaborative structure and limited farmer engagement through representatives. Monocropping persists due to unsuitable promotion, lack of participation, trust deficits, inadequate infrastructure, and poor communication. Recommendations emphasize greater cooperation, infrastructural development, fostering public-mindedness, and strengthening government-community leadership engagement for sustainable development.
