Abstract
Householders’ Participation in Waste Management in NakhonLuang Municipality Area of Phranakhon Si Ayutthaya Province. The purposes of this study were to 1) investigate the householders’ participation in waste management in NakhonLuang Municipality Area of Phranakhon Si Ayutthaya province; and 2) compare the levels of the householders’ participation classified by personal factors. The subjects, selected by simple random sampling, were325householdersin that area. The instrument used in this study was a five-rating scale questionnaire with the reliability at 0.78. The statistical tools used for data analysis were frequency, percentage, means, standard deviation, T-test, F-test with the statistically significant level at .05.
The results revealed that: 1) the householders’ participation in waste management was at high level. The participation of householders was ranked from highest to lowest values as follows: cooperation, planning, accomplice and assessment, respectively and 2) differences in householders’ occupations and a number of family members that affect the statistically significant levels of such participation.
