Guidelines for Promoting the Performance Image of Police Station Officials Klang Dong Provincial Police According to Public Opinion

Abstract

This research aims to investigate the level of work image among police officers stationed at Klang Dong Provincial Police Station and to develop guidelines for enhancing their professional image. The study utilized a sample group comprising residents of Klang Dong Subdistrict and Phaya Yen Subdistrict, Pak Chong District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province, totaling 387 individuals aged 18 years and above, selected through a stratified random sampling method. Data collection instruments included questionnaires, with data analysis conducted using mean values and standard deviations. Additionally, an interview format was employed to gather insights into strategies for promoting the work image of police officers at Klang Dong Provincial Police Station, involving 8 informants. Content analysis was utilized to analyze and summarize the interview data descriptively.

The results of the study found that the level of work image of police officers at Klang Dong Provincial Police Station, Pak Chong District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province. Overall, the level of opinions was at a high level. When considering each aspect, it was found to be at a high level in all 4 areas. When considering each aspect, it was found that general services has the highest average, while criminal justice administration and traffic control and management have the lowest averages, respectively.

Guidelines for promoting the work image of police officers at Klang Dong Provincial Police Station, Pak Chong District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province, found that: 1) Commanders should encourage police personnel to engage and communicate with community members to listen to their concerns and utilize the feedback to improve their operational performance. 2) Supervisors should cultivate an organizational culture that emphasizes the importance of public service within the police station. 3) Supervisors should provide modern and adequate equipment and tools for police personnel to effectively carry out their duties.
