THE LOST OF STREET ART “THANON SONG WAD”

Abstract

The purpose of this research article were 1. To find the cultural capital community of Samphanthawong district, 2. To design the Street Art from the cultural capital of Samphanthawong district, and 3. To create the Street Art from the cultural capital of Samphanthawong district. This research was a qualitative research in order to analyse the data and find ways to create works of art related to the culture of Samphanthawong District.  The Theatrical Theory has been used in this research to study about Samphanthawong district by collecting information from interviewing locals in community, Thai tourists, and foreigner tourists. 1. The cultural capital of Samphanthawong District community is the colonial-style architecture of Song Wad Road with Corinthian-style columns reflecting the multiculturalism that exists in Samphanthawong District. 2. Artistic Intervention concept can be used to reflect the identity of the hidden cultural capital in the Samphanthawong community. 3. The creation of Street Art by the cultural capital in Samphanthawong District was found to help solving the problems of people in the local and make “Thanon Song Wad” a new economic area in Samphanthawong. It is also a principle for other communities to apply for development of their communities in the future as well.
