PHAMARCEUTICAL PLANT ITEMS AS MENTIONED IN ISAN-PALM LEAF MANUSCRIPT

Abstract

This research article was part of a research project on an analysis and vocabulary compilation of the herbs, diseases, and pharmacopoeia as found in palm-leaf manuscript that aims to present the analytical result on the pharmaceutical plant items after the transliteration on 12 pieces total 342 pages of the manuscripts. The result indicated that there were 40 pharmaceutical plant items ranked in a descending order consisting of 19 items frequently used 11-30 times and 33 items frequently used 31-50 times and 3 items frequently used 51-70 times and 2 items frequently used 71-90 times and 2 items. These items were classified into 7 types including 1. home-grown vegetables 2. vine 3. bamboo/grass 4. standing timber 5. seasonal plant 6. Bush and 7. tuber.
