Require further study for Master of Education Program in Thai language Roi-Et Rajabhat University

Abstract

This research aimed at studying the Require further study for Master of Education Program Tin Thai Roi-et Rajabhat University. The respondents were 51 government teachers and education officers, graduated with bachelor degree in the Northeastern region, namely Roi Et, Yasothon Kalasin and Amnat Charoen provinces. The samples were selected by accidental sampling as the sample group of this study. The research instrument was a questionnaire which was as multiple choice questionnaire which consisted of 2 aspects, which were 4 items on the need for further education, 2 items on support and a questionnaire on factors affecting the decision to enroll 12 with five level rating scale. The items had a confidence value of 0.93. The data were analyzed by percentage, mean and standard Deviation

            The results were as follows :

1. Personal data : most of the respondents were female (58.80) under state educational institution, aged 24 – 28 years (94.10), most educational status Already graduated and working (76.50), graduated for 1-2 years (74.50), and working as government teacher/education office/state-owned company (72.50).
2. The Requirement for further education : Most of the respondents require further study in a master of education program in Thai language Roi-et Rajabhat University (94.10). The purpose of their studies were further developing their knowledge and skills involving their work and their interesting (76.50), suitable time for study in master’s degree should at least two years with master of education (47.10) and the educational qualification of the degree required upon graduation is master of education program in teaching Thai language (58.80).
3. Learning facilities : Most responded require for the scholarships such as fees for thesis, living expenses (60.00). The most suitable for the teaching management was study in class and working on a thesis full time at the Faculty of Education and Human Development (type A 2) (37.25)
4. Factors that will affect their decision to study at the graduate show the highest mean on interest of the course (4.92), followed by expenses per semester (4.86) Therefore, the opening of educational programs should therefore take into account the design of modern curriculum and interesting to students.
