Assembling Thainess of Thai People in The United States: Concept of Nation-State, Religion, Monarchy

Abstract
This academic article aims to analyze the concept of constructing Thainess through Thai temple communities in the United States. Using methods of study from documents, research, participant observation and interviews, write essay. The results of the study found that Temples and monks are points of transmission of Thainess through cultural means, through the reproduction of the Thai consciousness, through religious means, both in terms of rituals such as the Royal Kathin Ceremony, Thai food, Thai music, Thai language. And organizing activities related to Thai ways With the temple as the center of the movement, it is as if the temple from Thailand was raised to be a unit of the Thai community abroad, until it became uniquely Thai in the United States.
