A STUDY OF THE EXISTING SITUATION, DESIRABLE SITUATION, AND THE NEED ASSESSMENT TO ENHANCE TEAMWORK OF NON-TEACHING STAFFS’ UNIVERSITIES IN NANNING

The objectives of this research were to: 1) investigate the current situations and desirable situations for enhancing teamwork of non-teaching staff in universities in Nanning, and 2) examine the needs assessment for enhancing teamwork of non-teaching staff in universities in Nanning. The sample consisted of 358 non-teaching staff in Nanning, Guangxi, determined using Krejcie and Morgan’s sampling table and selected through stratified random sampling. The research instruments used were questionnaires. Data were analyzed using mean, standard deviation, PNImodified is used to find the required value, and content analysis.
The findings revealed that: 1) The current situation of teamwork was high, and the desirable situation was highest, and 2) the needs for enhancing teamwork, ranked from highest to lowest, were incentive mechanisms, conflict management, decision-making, communication, collaboration, and shared goals.
