Japanese’s role and internal politics of Ayutthaya B.E. 2149-2310

The purpose of this article were (1) to study the origin of the Japanese role in Ayutthaya’s internal politics (2) to study Japanese’s political behaviors and performances in Ayutthaya’s internal politics and (3) to study the end of Japanese’s political behaviors and performances in Ayutthaya’s internal politics in B.E.2310. Documentary study and historical method were utilized in this article. The result shown that (1) the origin of Japanese due to the internal politics role of Japanese volunteer corp in the reign of King Songtham in B.E. 2149-2171 (2) Japanese’s political behavior presented by supporting ruling class in changing the King of Ayutthaya by forcing, pressing and bargaining with the power elites and the determination of Ayutthaya leader in the reign of King Songtham (3) Japanese’s role was ended in the reign of King Prasatthong since the King tried to expel the Japanese out form Ayutthaya before B.E. 2310.
