Political Attitude of the Master of Public Administration Program’s Students, Faculty of Political Science, Ramkhamhaeng University

Abstract

The article is on “Political attitudes of students in the Master of Public Administration program, Faculty of Political Science, Ramkhamhaeng University”. Mixed methods, both quantitative and qualitative, were employed to analyze data.  A questionnaire consisting of both closed-ended and open-ended questions was used as a tool to collect data from a sample of 50 students who were studying in the Master of Public Administration program, Faculty of Political Science, Ramkhamhaeng University, Class 16. The objectives were to study the relationship between gender, bachelor's degree major, age, length of service, hometown and political attitudes, and also to study students' political attitudes as a whole. The research results found that there is a relationship between the age of the sample group and their political attitudes. But there was no relationship between length of service, gender, field of study completed at the bachelor's degree level. and hometown and political attitude.

Considering the average score of the sample studied, it was found that the overall political attitude was moderate with an average score = 3.31. But if considered separately by individual indicators, it was found that the sample group had moderate political attitude in 4 places. These included the concept of change with an average score of = 3.22, the value of equality with an average score of = 2.94, the value of rationalism with an average score of = 3.26, and the value of universalism with an average score of = 3.00. As for the value of humanism, the average score was = 4.09. The sample, therefore had a liberal political attitude.
