This study aimed to: (1) examine the alignment between the management of Chiang Mai Provincial Administrative Organization Park and sustainable development approaches under the goal of sustainable cities and communities, with particular consideration of access to safe and inclusive green and public spaces, especially for vulnerable groups such as children, women, older persons, and persons with disabilities; and (2) propose guidelines for the sustainable management of Chiang Mai Provincial Administrative Organization Park. This study employed a mixed-methods research design. Quantitative data were collected from 200 users of Chiang Mai Provincial Administrative Organization Park, while qualitative data were obtained through in-depth interviews with four administrators and a focus group discussion with four operational staff members. Quantitative data were analyzed using frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation, whereas qualitative data were analyzed through content analysis. The findings revealed that the management of Chiang Mai Provincial Administrative Organization Park was aligned with the goal of sustainable cities and communities, particularly the provision of safe, inclusive, and equitably accessible public and green spaces. The assessment based on the CIPP Model indicated that, in terms of context, the park management was consistent with urban development policies and public needs. In terms of input, resources, personnel, budget, and network partners were utilized in managing the area. In terms of process, operations were carried out in relation to cleanliness, safety, landscape improvement, buildings and facilities, and public opinion gathering. In terms of product, the outcomes were reflected in public satisfaction and the utilization of the park area. Overall, public opinions toward the sustainable management of the public space were at the highest level, with a mean score of 4.44. The proposed guidelines for sustainable management consisted of six approaches: preparing a long-term park development plan; improving the safety system; increasing and enhancing facilities; managing cleanliness and the environment; promoting public and network participation; and establishing clear criteria for the use of the park area. These guidelines aim to enhance Chiang Mai Provincial Administrative Organization Park as a safe, accessible, equitable, and sustainable public space.
