Forum on China-Africa Cooperation: Toward a new era of relation

The purposes of this article is to study (1) The importance of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation-FOCAC as a development mechanism of China-Africa relationship (2) The China’s reasons of realization the FOCAC and (3) The future of China-Africa relationship in the new era. Finding are as fellow: 1) The FOCAC is an official forum between China and all states in Africa with the exception of the Kingdom of Eswatini. Moreover, it is the multi-lateral coordination mechanism between African countries and China. 2) China established the FOCAC in 2000 following the urging of African diplomats in the late 1990s and to ensure future political and economic influence in Africa among the competition of the great powers in Africa such as European Union, India, Turkey there. 3) The future of China-Africa relationship in the new era is cooperation for advance modernization that is Just and equitable, open and win-win, put the people first, diversity and inclusiveness.
