Quality of life of older adults receiving living allowance in senanikom 2 Community, Chatuchak District, Bangkok

Abstract

The research study on the quality of life of older adults receiving living allowance in Senanikom 2 Community, Chatuchak District, Bangkok, has the following objectives: 1. To examine the problems related to the quality of life of older adults receiving living allowance in Senanikom 2 Community, Chatuchak District, Bangkok. 2.To explore approaches for promoting the quality of life of older adults receiving living allowance in Senanikom 2 Community, Chatuchak District, Bangkok. This study is a Qualitative Research with 17 key informants. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and analyzed by synthesizing, interpreting, and drawing conclusions on key issues, which were then presented in a descriptive format. The research findings revealed that the overall quality of life of older adults was at a moderate level, encompassing four major domains: physical health, psychological well-being, social relationships, and environmental conditions. Key supportive factors included strong social networks, family support, and access to healthcare services. Conversely, chronic health conditions and economic insecurity were identified as major challenges affecting their quality of life. The study recommends strengthening community-based social activities for older adults and enhancing health and welfare support systems tailored to the urban context.
