Developing the curriculum according to the needs of the students: A case study of the Master of Public Administration program, Ramkhamhaeng University

The MPA program of Ramkhamhaeng University was selected as a case study of curriculum development according to students’ needs. This research used a combination of three research methods, i.e., field research, survey research and documentary research. The research results found that; 1) students need to gain knowledge, skills and competencies that are consistent with the subjects available in the current curriculum. 2) the curriculum is very well aligned with the qualification standards in all areas of public administration at a very good level. 3) guidelines for developing the curriculum based on student needs to enhance teamwork skills, leadership, data analysis, leading change, writing and correspondence and using computer programs.
