The Implementation of the Don Phut Model Policy in Don Phut District, Saraburi Province

Abstract

This study aimed to examine 1) the factors influencing the implementation of the Don Phut Model policy, 2) the effectiveness of the policy implementation, and 3) recommendations for the implementation of the Don Phut Model policy in Don Phut District, Saraburi Province. A quantitative research method was employed, with a sample consisting of 285 participants, including the working group related to the Don Phut Model policy and registered farmers in the Don Phut area. Data were collected using questionnaires. The statistical analyses used included percentages, means, and standard deviations. The findings revealed that

1) Overall, the factors influencing the implementation of the Don Phut Model policy were at the highest level. When examined by aspect, all were at the highest level, ranked from highest to lowest mean as follows: support from various agencies, characteristics of the implementing agencies, policy resources, policy objectives and standards, and inter-agency communication.

2) The effectiveness of implementing the Don Phut Model policy was also at the highest level overall. By aspect, all were at the highest level, ranked from highest to lowest mean as follows: public satisfaction, quality of life, and achievement of policy objectives.
