The knowledge transformation of Thai political science journals

Abstract

Since the emergence of Thai political science academic journals in 1961, they can be regarded as another type of academic papers that are important in disseminating political science knowledge to the public. Thai political science academic journals have passed through various eras until now. The researcher studied academic journals in political science until 2019 and found that journals from the past to the present have changed in social contexts in various areas which inevitably affect many aspects of journals, such as form, content and various issues of journal management. This research is a qualitative study. by collecting data from academic journals in political science. The researcher divided the era of Thai political science academic journals into 3 eras. dating from their origination until ceasing to publish. The objectives are: 1. To study the transition of Thai political science knowledge in academic journals on Thai political science during 1961-2019 on the issue of knowledge from articles in Thai political science journals during different periods; 2. To study problems of Thai political science academic journals in different eras that affect knowledge in Thai political science academic journals, as to demonstrate that each era of a journal has to go through obstacles that make up the journal that it is today. It was found that journals in the past compare with current ones are considerable differences, especially in terms of the format of the journals. As for the content of articles in journals, there are both theoretical knowledge and contemporary ones. At present, journal articles have more variety in contents.
