Quality of life development in the New Normal Age of the employee of Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, Chulalongkorn University

Abstract

This research was a qualitative research. The objectives were to study 1) quality of life development 2) conditions of problems and obstacles in quality of life development and 3) guidelines or recommendations for quality of life development under the new normal era of the personnel at Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, Chulalongkorn University. Data were collected from documents and from semi-structured interviews 12 key informants. The research results showed that according to the 4 quality of life components of the World Health Organization, it was found that personnel had good quality of life in terms of physical, mental and social relations. The environmental aspect is moderate. And according to the quality of working life components in 8 areas, it was found that personnel had a quality of working life in terms of fair and adequate compensation, safe and hygienic environment, opportunities for potential development progress and stability good relationship in working together. On work-life balance and personal life and the pride of the organization that has social value is at a good level. The aspect of management was moderate. The key informants agreed that the environment and management aspects should be developed more than others. It is because the development of the environment will make personnel have a better quality of life. Thus, personnel can benefit themselves, their families, society and the nation with efficiency and effectiveness. Therefore, the development of management characteristics will make personnel have a better quality of work life affecting the performance of the organization.
