ที่ประชุมว่าด้วยความร่วมมือจีน-แอฟริกา: สู่ยุคใหม่ของความสัมพันธ์

บทความนี้มีจุดประสงค์สำคัญในการศึกษา (1) ความสำคัญของที่ประชุมว่าด้วยความร่วมมือจีน-แอฟริกา ในฐานะที่เป็นกลไกเชื่อมความสัมพันธ์ด้านการพัฒนารอบด้านของจีน-แอฟริกา (2) เหตุผลของจีนในการจัดตั้งที่ประชุมดังกล่าว และ (3) อนาคตของความสัมพันธ์จีน-แอฟริกายุคใหม่ ผลการศึกษาพบว่า (1) ที่ประชุมว่าด้วยความร่วมมือนี้เป็นเวทีการประชุมอย่างเป็นทางการระหว่างจีนกับรัฐแอฟริกันทุกรัฐ ยกเว้น ราชอาณาจักรเอสวาตินี อีกทั้งยังเป็นกลไกหลักด้านความร่วมมือพหุภาคีที่สำคัญของทั้งสองฝ่าย (2) จีนมีเหตุผลสำคัญในการจัดตั้งที่ประชุมใน ค.ศ.2000 นี้ตามข้อเรียกร้องของนักการทูตแอฟริกันในทศวรรษ 1990 ก็คือการสร้างความมั่นใจในอนาคตของตนในแอฟริกาทั้งด้านการเมืองและเศรษฐกิจ ท่ามกลางการแข่งขันของประเทศสำคัญในภูมิภาคแอฟริกา เช่น สหภาพยุโรป อินเดีย และตุรกี (3) อนาคตของความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างจีน-แอฟริกาในยุคใหม่นี้จึงเป็นความร่วมมือเพื่อความทันสมัย ก้าวหน้า ยุติธรรม เสมอภาคเปิดกว้าง และได้ประโยชน์ทั้งสองฝ่าย อีกทั้งยังให้ความสำคัญลำดับแรกกับประชาชนที่หลากหลายและครอบคลุมทั่วทั้งทวีป
