CREATIVE ACADEMIC ADMINISTRATION OF SCHOOL ADMINISTRATORS IN THE 21ST CENTURY
Main Article Content
Abstract
The rapid changes in the 21st century, encompassing science, technology, economics, society, and culture, necessitate continuous evolution and adaptation in education. This is especially true for academic administration, a core responsibility of educational institutions. School administrators, as academic leaders, must possess a broad perspective, creativity, and the ability to drive change towards improving the quality of learning and equipping students with 21st-century skills: critical thinking, creativity, communication, and collaboration. Creative academic administration encompasses the design and development of integrated curricula, the promotion of student-centered learning, the development of teachers as educational designers, the application of digital technology to enhance educational quality, and the fostering of learning and innovative organizational culture. Therefore, administrators with creative leadership in academic administration can sustainably drive quality changes in schools. This involves six key components: integrated curriculum development, student-centered teaching, teacher development as educational designers, the use of digital technology and innovation, the creation of learning and innovative organizational culture, and the building of educational collaboration networks. Thus, creative academic administration in the 21st century not only responds to the changes of the digital age but also serves as a crucial mechanism for developing students' competencies and attributes essential for future life and work, ultimately enhancing the competitiveness of Thai education internationally.
