Knowledge and Understanding towards the Computer - Related Crime Act (No.2) B.E. 2017 of the People in Pathumthani province

Abstract

The objective of this study was (1) to study the level of knowledge and understanding towards the Computer - Related Crime Act (No.2) B.E 2017 of the people in Pathumthani province, (2) to compare knowledge and understanding of the Computer Crime Act (No. 2) B.E. 2017 of people in Pathumthani province based on personal characteristics, and (3) to study the relationship between the channels of information perception and the level of knowledge and understanding towards the Computer - Related Crime Act (No.2) B.E 2017 of the people in Pathumthani province. The sample used in the research were 305 people in Pathumthani province. The instrument used for data collection was a questionnaire. The statistics used for data analysis were frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, One Way ANOVA, Chi-square, Scheffe, and Cramer’s V The level of significance was set at .05. The results revealed that the level of satisfaction of that the people in Pathumthani Province had a high level of knowledge and understanding of the Computer Crime Act (No. 2) B.E. 2017 The results of the hypothesis testing found that different incomes had significantly different knowledge and understanding of the Computer Crime Act (No. 2) B.E. 2017 at a statistical level of .05, which was in accordance with the hypothesis. The news exposure channels were related to the level of knowledge and understanding of the Computer Crime Act (No. 2) B.E. 2017 of the people in Pathumthani province as a whole, with a relatively small direction.
